What are your opening hours?
We take calls and attend jobs from 7am to 8pm, seven days a week, including weekends.
Which areas of Sydney do you service?
We are based in Kensington and cover the Eastern Suburbs, the Inner City and South Sydney, and travel further across Sydney by arrangement. See our service areas page for the full list.
Do you give a price before starting work?
Yes. Our technician diagnoses the problem and gives you a price before any work starts. Nothing is done without your approval.
Do you repair all garage door brands?
Yes. We work on roller, sectional and tilt doors and the openers fitted to them, from all the common brands used in Sydney.
My garage door is stuck closed and my car is inside. What should I do?
Do not force it. Check the opener has power and the remote battery works, then call us on (02) 9069 1860. If a spring has broken the door may be too heavy to lift safely.
Do you work with strata buildings and property managers?
Yes. We repair and service car park doors, openers and remotes for strata buildings, real estate agents and property managers.
How do I open my garage door during a power outage?
Pull the manual release cord (usually red) on the opener, then lift the door by hand. If it is very heavy, stop: the springs may need attention. Opener battery backup prevents this problem.
Can you repair any brand of garage door?
Yes. We repair roller, sectional and tilt doors from all the common brands found in Sydney homes, including older doors that are no longer sold.
How do I know if my garage door spring is broken?
Common signs are a loud bang from the garage, a visible gap in a torsion spring above the door, a door that feels extremely heavy, or an opener that strains and stops.
Why does my garage door motor run but the door does not move?
This is usually a stripped drive gear, a disengaged manual release, or a broken spring that leaves the door too heavy. A technician can tell you which in a few minutes.
How long does a new garage door installation take?
Most single and double residential doors are installed in a single day once the door has been made to size.
Why is my roller door so heavy to open?
Roller doors use a spring inside the drum. Over time it loses tension and the door feels heavier. A re-tension usually fixes it.
How much headroom does a sectional door need?
It depends on the door and opener, but sectional doors generally need more headroom than roller doors. We check this at the measure.
Why won't my tilt door stay open?
The springs have usually weakened or broken. They need adjusting or replacing so the door balances again.
How often should a garage door be serviced?
Once a year for most homes. Doors used many times a day, or close to the beach, benefit from a service every six months.
